Account and organization

  1. Create an account at Create account.
  2. Create an organization (usually your community's name). An organization groups servers, licenses, staff and rules.
  3. In Settings, choose the organization language: the language of what players and staff see in game, of Discord alerts and of e-mails.

License

In Licenses:

  • Buy a plan: monthly (the first month comes with 7 extra days) or yearly, by card or MB WAY (see Billing).

When a payment creates the license, use Rotate key to see its key. The full key is shown once. Copy it into server.cfg (set safeguard_license_key "…"). If you lose it or it leaks, use Rotate key: the old one stops working immediately.

Each license works on one machine at a time. To move the server to another machine, use Reset activation.

Connect the server

Once the key is in place and SafeGuard restarted, the server shows up in Servers with its state, version, framework and players online. If it does not appear within a minute, check the server console and Troubleshooting.
